I had a design process. Now I have two.
Coming out of my Bachelors, I knew the design process inside out- empathize, define, ideate, prototype, test. It worked great.
But then while being in the real I realized there is this whole other process that happens before you even get to empathize. Market research, business analysis, strategy development, basically figuring out what problem you are solving before you solve it.
My Masters taught me that front-end process.
Now I have the complete loop, strategy process feeding into design process. Turns out, knowing the 'why' makes the 'what' so much better.
